The Sun is really the mother of most energy sources, such as wind, biomass, ocean current, and hydropower. In this section we will discuss the energy directly from the sun light.
We can obtain the energy from sun light in many ways. The sun light can be used to light up the homes and office buildings. It can be used to heat the water and the air in the room. It can also be used to generate electricity and etc. They can be roughly categorized into the following sections:
Concentrating Solar
Passive Solar
Photovoltaic
Solar Hot Water
Solar Process Heat
We will discuss those areas one by one.
